David Shew "The Gathering"

The Gathering is one of the most well produced pieces of music that you will ever hear. More melody and structure than you could possibly imagine. A multi-layered musical journey of epic proportions.
David Shew has lived in the Atlanta area most of his life. His musical
training began with the trombone, which he played for nine years.
Although abandoning it later for the guitar (his main instrument), his
love for low brass continued. While in college he became interested in
electronic synthesis and purchased an old Arp Odyssey analog
synthesizer. He continued to build his keyboard collection through the
years and began experimenting with ways to combine electronic brass and
other orchestral textures with his guitar playing, while maintaining a
melodic, compositional style.
His debut CD, THE GATHERING, is a realization of this combination.
Recorded at Davenhil, his personal studio, THE GATHERING consists of 8 songs. Rich in imagery, melody, and percussive multi-layering, the songs take the listener on a musical journey that reflects David's diverse influences, ranging from Santana to Soft Machine to Claude Debussy.
Whether it's the hypnotic 'Take Me With You,' or the lamenting 'Oklahoma City,' or the serene pulse of the title cut 'The Gathering,' David showcases his ability to draw the listener into his world. A world full of images, textures, and emotions.
This Cd has been repackaged and is now available at CD Baby as "95 South Bay Dr."
